TW: Heavy themes of Bl00d and animal D3ath Honeydewharmony staggered out of camp, her shoulder w0und stinging. Flurryclan was struggling. Flurryclan was struggling because no one bothered to hunt or patrol. She lashed her tail. How could she have let Flurryclan fall into such ruin? Honey wouldn’t stand for this any longer. She needed to hunt, and wouldn’t returned until she had so much prey she couldn’t carry it. Honey lifted her nose to the air, catching the delicate scent of rabbit, mouse, and something more… Fox. She let out a sharp hiss. This close to camp? Great stars, she needed to deal with this quickly. Honey was in no condition to be fighting, but perhaps she could lead the fox away, just far enough so it wouldn’t be a threat. She emerged from a nearby bush, her eyes locking onto what the fox was eating. A deer! A whole deer! This would be an excellent feast for Flurryclan! She just had to get it. Honey snarled at the fox and unsheathed her claws. The fox didn’t back away. Didn’t even flinch. She lunged forward, digging her claws into the fox’s back. She’d faced wolves before with no injury. She’d faced her brother in law, and survived. Surely she could take down a fox? Though, this one seemed desperate. It flung Honeydew out of the way, with seemingly no effort. Honey managed to catch herself, her muscles and limbs screaming for her to stop. Perhaps this wasn’t such a good idea. She struck a paw down the fox’s flank, and managed to dodge its snapping jaws. She struck again, this time swiping her claws down the fox’s face, leaving a nasty mark. The fox roared with pa!n and snapped it’s jaws down onto Honey’s flank. She let out a cry, aiming a blow at the fox’s muzzle, but to no avail. The fox threw her away again, and started slinking towards her, its eyes shining and cruel. Honeydew growled, ignoring the Bl00d pouring out of her flank and shoulder. She struck the fox’s shoulder, giving it a matching gash. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough. The fox leapt forward, digging its sharp fangs into Honey’s neck. She yowled, her paws flying in all directions as she tried to strike the fox. She could feel the light fading from her eyes as she landed with a ‘thump’ onto the floor. The fox slinked away. Honey had done it. She glared at the deer, trying to force her limbs to push herself forward. But she couldn’t. She lay, limp on the floor, and considered everything she’d done. Had she helped others, or made their lives worse? Had she lived up to her family’s standards? Who would she meet next? Honey slammed her eyes shut. No, no she couldn’t d!e now. She had so much to live for! Even though she was growing old, she could still do so much! What about Indigoflight’s kits? What about the kits she’d found under a bush only a few days ago? What about Furyferity? And Curiousgaze? And Frostedshard? And Cometseeker? Her head spun as her mind swirled in unorganised, frantic thoughts. “No!” she yelped weakly. She looked down at her Bl00died paws. She’d k!lled with those paws. She’d swiped those claws at her brother’s shoulders. She’d also saved lives, with those paws. Was it all in vain? What was the point of it, if Honey would d!e, anyway? What was the point of anything if you were just going to fade away with time, lost, old and forgotten? These were Honey’s last thoughts as she sunk into darkness. But what happened next? Honeydew opened her eyes and jumped forward, finally feeling free. Her pelt had no tears, no cvts, no wounds, no resemblance of the pa!n she’d just suffered. She wasn’t in Starclan. But this wasn’t the Dark Forest, either. This was something in between. ~~~ ALRIGHT so uh yeah that was a wild ride Thank you to everyone who made Honey’s life so much better! Thank you , for designing Honeydew and starting her journey. Thank you , for giving Honey her first ever friend. Thank you , for, great stars, where do I start? Thank you for being such an important figure in Honeydewharmony’s life, and also making her a lot more interesting to roleplay with! Honestly, it’s up to you that I didn’t oof her off when she was 20 moons. Thank you , for giving Honeydewharmony something to live for. I wish you luck with Fury :] Thank you , for teaching Honeydewharmony all she knows Thank you to all her apprentices, past and current, and I’m sorry that she’s had to go- ill help you find a new mentor, if you’d like Thank you, , for giving Honey so much joy and parenting a litter with her.
