Talonbreak- a sweet pretty she-cat Aspenheart’-a strong long fur she-cat Rowaneye- a brown tabby tom Coldtear- a tough and sweet tom-cat Queens Ashcloud- a proper she-cat with gray fur, kits: Turtlekit and Cloudkit, Mate: Spikefur Poppyflower- a sweet she-cat, mate:Darkspot, Kits: Flamekit and Nutkit Appertinces Heartpaw- an adventurous she-cat with a love for fighting Moonpaw- a shy and beautiful cat (goes by they/them) Salmonpaw-a sneaky and rude tom (Koi’s brother Koipaw- a smart yet strong she-cat (Salmon’s sister) Elders- Yewberry- a grumpy and moody tom with gray calico spots and dark forest brown eyes Halfear- a half blind tom with part of his ears gone, Ruffleclaw- a long clawed tom with a calico pelt Streamtail- a long furred cat with a love of clan history and stories (goes by they/them) Fishtalon- a happy go lucky she-cat with a love of leadership Chapter One The Light in a storm The den was warm, filled with love and happiness. “two beautiful kits” purred a cat, she smelled of peppermint and herbs, and had a cheerful loving voice, the kind of voice that a mother would have. “A tom and a she-cat” she said again. Another voice called, it was rough and booming a voice a grumpy old man would have “We especially need them in this horrid storm” the voice said. “What shall you call them?” the sweet cat said. The mother, curled up sickly next to the two kits “Flamekit…for the tom and…Nutkit…for the girl” she rasped softly. The room emptied and the mother laid in the den, “My two kits” she purred. “I promise that I will take care of you…” the mother laid down and rested and as the moon rose the den was filled with snores. “Flamekit come back!” squealed Nutkit, chasing her brother “Mama said I share the rabbit!. Flamekit was fast, he was stronger than his sister but he was also less braver than her and less confident than her, “Fine!” grumbled Flamekit giving the small rabbit to his sister.” As the two chatted Ashcloud and her two kits Turtlekit and Cloudkit came rushing in soaking wet and giggling “What happened?!” said Flamekit’s mother rushing over to her dearest friend. “Well, I wanted to teach my children the art of fishing” Ashcloud always spoke very properlike. “And then a horrid Fishclan cat came over and got angry at us..she proceeded to attack my kits and threw them in the water so I attacked her and fell into the lake.” she spat angrily. As the mothers chatted the four kits went outside the nursery to play. “We could play hide-and-seek,” suggested Turtlekit, who was a bright flaming orange kit with crystal blue eyes. “No way” growled Cloudkit who was a fluffy gray kit with a darker gray chest with bright sea green eyes. “Moss-ball?” said Nutkit nervously, who was a small plaster brown furred at with a sand color tuft of fur on her head and chest. She had ivy green eyes and was nervous. “I want to play warriors,” said Flamekit, who was a black cat with orange stripes and chest, paws and tufts of fur on his head. The kits all agreed on a game (Warriors) played for hours and hours until their mothers told them to get into the nursery and sleep. Dawn arose, the birds chirped. the two kits nuzzled next to their mother purring softly, it was a groggy day, rain all day long, The kits in the nursery sighed, rain was no fun, not at all.
