Fullscreen please!! I did this instead of homework, but Shelby is just so interesting. As I believe I saw in a post on Tumblr once, she almost has weaponized innocence. She refuses to see all of the hurt that Scott is causing, playing it off as him just being a little eccentric. Shelby also chooses to blame Pyro for her turning, despite him being starved when it happened and just lucked out in getting the last hit. Her refusal to realize Scott's actions kind of continues the cycle of abuse that the vampire coven has, of turning people against their will and then claiming that it's fine because now at least you can fly and be immortal. Shelby inadvertently excuses everything Scott has done, and although this works well for her in the end, if she had supported Pyro things could have gone much differently, same with if she had supported the town.
