Litter Guide … This guide outlines the official standards for hosting and applying for litters. Please ensure all posts follow these formatting and procedural rules to maintain consistency across the project. ✦ Selection Methods There are two distinct ways kits are assigned. Hosts must clearly state which method they are using at the start of the application period. Selective (S) Duration: Open for up to 3 weeks. Process: Hosts wait until the closing date to review all submitted applications. Kits are awarded to the host's favorite applications based on fit and quality. First Come First Serve (FCFS) Duration: Open until all slots are filled. Process: The first player to submit a properly completed application is automatically awarded the kit. ✦ Creating a Litter Before opening a litter to the public, hosts must prepare the following elements. 1. Parent Guidelines Standard Litters: At least one parent must be an active character within the Clan. You should coordinate with the other parent's player (if applicable) before posting. Donated Litters: These are litters without active parents (orphans, foundlings, or gift litters). No parents need to be created for these; they simply exist as they are. Consent: If using another player's character as a parent, you must have their explicit permission to include them in the post. 2. The Kit Profiles Provide a basic description or a simple design for each kit. Clearly state if names are fixed or if applicants can choose their own. 3. The Application Form Hosts must provide a clear form for users to fill out. A standard form typically includes: Desired Kit: Character Personality: (Brief or detailed depending on S vs. FCFS) Future Plans/Plots: Activity Level: ✦ Visual Standards While post titles can be creative and stylized, the Litter Thumbnail is a functional tool for the community. Every thumbnail must include: The Clan Name The Litter Type (Selective or FCFS) ✦ Host Checklist Before posting your litter, ensure you have checked the following: [ ] Thumbnail includes Clan and Type (S/FCFS). [ ] Closing Date is set (if Selective). [ ] Application Form is clearly linked or listed. [ ] Parentage is noted (or marked as a "Donated Litter"). Once everything is ready, give me (or, in the future, another mod) the link and it’ll be added to the main studio for you. ✦ Closing There isn’t much else, really—just be reasonable! If you have any questions or aren’t sure how to set up your specific litter, feel free to ask a staff member for help
