✮⋆˙ Acai Blueberry DTAE! ⤷ I renamed him to just Berry for short! This project is a great example of my constantly changing art style lol 1. Main art piece! OG character by @Character_Base ╰┈*⁀➷ Backstory: ˙⋆✮ (lol probably one of the most non-deepest backstories I've ever made for a character) Berry (full name: Blueberry, he/him) was an ever-so-normal cat living in a bustling town called Dreamgates. The city was a festive place, with lights, decorations, and everything that makes a town lively. Out of every city in the land, they were the most spiritually connected with spirits and dreams. Berry was cheerful and energetic, but was not popular among the citizens of the city, since he spent most of his time alone outside in the breeze on the grassy hills. Every night, there would be a festival at the town square to celebrate the city's success, and to scare off any nightmares to come and control any cat's dreams. Nightmares were controlled by ancient demonic entities, not exactly cats, who were told to be vengeful spirits from the other world. Every cat believed that serving blueberry pies would summon the Spirit of Dreams, an entity the citizens believed protected them from nightmares. Little did they know, the one who actually protected the town folks was Berry. When Berry was young, he had found a scroll on top of the hills that had given them the power to go into cats' dreams, hence the hills being his hang out spot for being lucky. Every night, Berry went into the citizens' dreams, using freshly baked blueberry pies to throw at the nightmares, which scared them away. The nightmares sure hated sweet things. Every now and then, cats would report seeing a purple and cyan cat, supposedly throwing pies, appearing out of nowhere into their nightmares and saving them. Of course, no one took this as the truth. But in reality, Berry is the one with the important (and enjoyable) job of smacking pies into dream-intruders' faces. -- Story inspired off of the character desc in the og DTA and Princess Luna from mlp lol I'm might make more entries, possibly an animated one!
