The Republic of England The Republic of England is a state in Europe, founded after the Second English Civil War, the republicans, led by John Harvey, a liberal and staunch anti-monarchist. It is a unitary state and part of the European Union and UN. THE CIVIL WAR: Harvey, and several other men and women were considerable influence, planned a coup, to oust King Charles, however, he was able to escape, starting the Second English Civil War, the cavaliers, loyalists to Charles, had started an offensive towards Oxford, Republican forces, however, were able to hold them off, allowing for reinforcements to encircle the royalists. After 3 months of heavy fighting, the Republicans captured several thousand loyalists, the Loyalists won at the Battle of Ipswich, forcing some of the republicans to move towards the Eastern front. Eventually, the loyalists were forced to flee, forming the Royal Government in Exile, in Scotland. AFTERMATH: John Harvey, and remaining members of government, formed the Republic of England, with Harvey as President. It functioned as a semi-socialist state, called Harveyism, which mixed socialism and capitalism, along with democracy. Though England mostly recovered from the civil war, the Royalist Front, a loose coalition of rebels loyal to the crown still operate, with full support from Scotland and Wales. With King William staunchly supporting the rebel cause.
