Your score is based on how long you survive and how many planets you shoot down. Standard Mode is the modern version of the game. You can shoot planets, damage them by running into them, collect power-ups, use the WASD keys, and you slowly recover health over time. Challenge Mode is the classic version which is similar to the first game. You can't damage any planets or collect power-ups, and you can't use the WASD keys or recover health over time.
Mercury: It bounces around the screen diagonally. It may be weak, but it's fast, and can show up when you're not expecting it. Venus: It moves at any angle it chooses. It's generally stronger than the Earth, and can teleport at will, but moves rather slowly. Mars: It will move horizontally in the middle of the screen and shoot directly at you. However, it's mostly weak. Jupiter: It's huge, and will follow you around, slowly but surely. Despite its high defense, it can't recover any of its health. Saturn: It moves horizontally at the top of the screen and fires strong lasers straight down. It can't quite reach the sides of the screen. Uranus: It rises from the bottom of the screen and moves vertically, blocking you from passing. Use your mouse to quickly evade it. Neptune: It has a fair amount of health, but can use its moon, Triton, to shield itself. It is the strongest enemy planet of the seven. Triton: This moon orbits in a circle around Neptune. Acting as a shield, it is weak, but if Neptune explodes, it will fling off into space. RARE EVENTS Pluto: This planet will bounce around, like Mercury, very quickly. Although strong and quick to recover, it will explode in one shot. Ceres: The smallest and fastest object in space. It will zoom to a random spot and fire a fast laser right at the Earth. Theia: It will appear from the top and target the Earth. If it hits the Earth, it will explode and deal great damage. It explodes in one shot. Asteroid Belt: The asteroids will move from right to left. They cannot be defeated and they're tough to avoid, but they damage all planets. The Sun: It will slowly move in from above and stay for 10 seconds. Touching it results in an instant death. It cannot be defeated.
