ok so recently ive been obsessed with cellos- Ive learned more about older versions/less common versions of cellos. Like the baroque piccolo cello, they have 5 strings. the c string, g, d, a, and e. E string like the violins but an octave lower. The bridge is shorter and so is the finger board. Unlike a modern cello, piccolo cellos dont have endpins. piccolo cellos are tuned to 415 htz instead on the usual tuning, 440 htz. This is all that i know about the piccolo cell currently.
The violoncello (yes thats spelled correctly its NOT violincello) The tuning of the baroque violoncello is different then tuning for the strings now. i currently dont know the exact tuning but the are different from modern cellos. i dont know as much about violoncellos currently. I dont play cello btw i play viola. please correct me if any information is wrong.
