WENATCHEE Same name Same name as me But not me It wasn't my name It was hers It belonged to her She owned it And she died And I never knew her But she was so young And I feel a sort of connection Because she had my name And I have hers She never got to grow up She never got to feel Pain Sadness Heartbreak But maybe she felt happiness Maybe she looked up at her mom And felt joy Unable to form full thoughts But still I hope she had experienced happiness I wonder how she died Maybe she couldn't breathe right Maybe her heart failed Maybe something else But she never got to grow up She never looked out her car window And saw how wrong the world is She never got to go to school Or make friends And she died in the hospital She never saw the sun She never saw the sky She never felt wind on her face Never ran in the snow Never was disappointed when it rained She never begged for sleepovers with her friends She never woke up to the smell of pancakes She never had a birthday party She never yelled at her parents She never had a disagreement She never doubted her self-worth She never wanted to die She only wanted to live And it makes me feel Like I can't want to leave Because she didn't even have a choice And she died It's not fair She should've grown up She should've found her passions She should've made friends She should've went to school She should've fallen in love She should've gotten excited when it snowed And school was canceled She should've gotten to feel the wind and the sun and the wind And stare up at the stars She should've lived It's not fair She should've gotten a life She should've done so much She could've done so much She would've done so much She should be alive She should've felt Pain Sadness Heartbreak She should've felt happiness Maybe she would've played an instrument Maybe she would've played soccer Or basketball Or frisbee Or run track Maybe she would've loved to swim Maybe she would've loved to write She should've lived till she was old She should've lived But she didn't She died in the hospital And she never got to live And it makes me want to live She makes me want to live Such a small human Stripped of life Her eyes dull Limp But I hope she felt happiness And I want to live Because she didn't get a chance to live And I did And it's not fair But she makes me want to live So I say goodbye to her gravestone I say thanks Thank you To this human Who never got a life Thank you I'll be back I want to see you again But I never will, will I? They've moved Away from there So I'll never get the chance to go back But maybe when I'm older I'll remember you And all you helped me through Thank you Thank you Thank you I hope you felt happiness
This is for someone who shares my name, not Vall, a different one. She died, but she helped me. I never met her in person, but, I don't know, she just helped me.
