THE TEENAGE LOVE TRIANGLE (pt. 1) - BETTY ok i'm about to crash out ppl so let me just explain the point of this 4 pt. series *omg spoilersss !!* (press 1 for drawing nr 1; 2 for drawing nr 2, o for the original on paper, and to hide any of them press h) ok so if u don't know what the teenage love triangle, it's kinda the story abt betty, august(ine) and james, the characters from the folklore songs cardigan, august and betty. if u don't understand it, well this is the point of this series <333 it's the way i see the stories of each character and what i think happened to them (it's also just a reason for me to make fanart, but hushh u didn't hear that) ok this is what i think of the betty storyyy: ok so betty is the girl james dated when he cheated on her with august. betty wrote cardigan and i'm kinda seeing the story this way: betty got abandoned by her father (leaving like a father, running like water), and she found james at her most vunerable state of mind. seeing this context i feel that the line where the ''i knew everything when i was young'' makes sense. she was cheated on and it broke her, knowing that james drew stars around her scars (he turned the most painful moments of her life into something perfect) and then he made them bleed (he reopened the wounds by cheating on her and implicating that she didn't mean much to him). i think she got back with him cause he in the end of the day was someone who she loved, and who helped her before. ok now this is veryyyy long, or maybe it might be seeming that way to me. btw these prjs will take long because i draw it on paper and then i draw those drawings digitaly on scratch WITH MY MOUSE and i'm on a new computer so i'm very confused currently.
