III. SURVIVAL BLUEPRINTS Blueprint A: The Ice-Pick (Climbing Tool) Use: Climbing icy cliffs, digging through frozen ground. Materials: Strong branch (2 ft), sharp stone or metal shard, sinew, Glue-Resin. Process: Sharpen the stone/metal into a narrow point. Notch the end of the branch to fit the base of the point. Lash the point tightly to the branch using sinew. Coat the lashing in melted Resin to secure it and waterproof the wrapping. Blueprint B: The "Snow-Strider" Shoe Use: Prevents sinking into deep snow. Essential for non-flying members or carrying heavy loads. Materials: Light branches or ribs of a large animal, rawhide strips or gut. Process: Bend the branches/ribs into an oval shape (roughly 2x the size of your paw). Lash the ends together securely. Weave a net across the center using the rawhide/gut. Tie a harness for the paw to the net. Blueprint C: The Thermal Water-Skin Use: Carrying water without it freezing; keeping medicine warm. Materials: Stomach of a large animal (Seal/Strider) or waterproof leather, sinew, fur. Process: Clean the stomach/bladder thoroughly. Tie off one end with sinew; turn inside out to clean. Sew a cap or tie-off at the neck. Wrap the exterior in fur and stitch it tight. This insulates the liquid. Blueprint D: The Hunter's Spear Use: Hunting and defense. Materials: Long straight branch (Ash/Pine), stone/metal point, sinew, feathers (optional). Process: Harden the tip of the branch in fire (charring makes it harder). Split the tip slightly and insert the stone/metal point. Wrap the split section tightly with sinew. Cover sinew in Glue-Resin. Add fletching (feathers) to the back end using sinew to improve flight accuracy if thrown. Blueprint E: The "Wind-Breaker" Tent Use: Emergency shelter from storms. Materials: Long bones (Glacier-Walker ribs if available, or wood), large hides (Muskox/Strider). Process: Plant the bones/branches into the snow in a dome shape. Lash them together at the top. Drape the hides over the frame, fur side in for warmth. Pile snow around the base of the hides to seal out the wind. Ensure a small vent hole at the top for the fire smoke.
