I. THE TOOLS OF THE TRADE Before one can build, one must have the means to build. An Artificer is only as good as their kit. If you lost your tools in the crash, you must fashion new ones immediately. 1. The Claw-Hammer Description: A heavy stone (granite or flint) lashed to a dense wooden handle with rawhide. Use: Driving stakes, breaking ice, shaping bones. 2. The Bone-Saw Description: A serrated jaw-bone from a large predator or a sharpened piece of metal from the wreckage. Use: Cutting through wood, bone, and ice. 3. The Bone Awl Description: A sharpened splinter of dense bone (often from a Tundra-Strider leg). Use: Piercing holes in leather, wood, and snow blocks. 4. The Fire-Kit Description: A bow drill (wooden bow, cord, spindle) or flint and steel salvaged from the ship. Use: Essential for all projects requiring heat, bending, or hardening. 5. The Hide-Prep Knife Description: An obsidian shard or sharp metal piece, wrapped on one end for a handle. Use: Fine cutting, preparing hides, and crafting.
