IV. THE TITANS (The Raid) Quarry for a full hunting party (13+). Extreme threat. Approach with caution. 8. Iron-Wool Muskox Description: A walking wall of muscle and matted fur, standing as high as a man. Its wool is so dense that arrows shatter against it. Behavior: When threatened, they form a circle, horns outward. They do not run; they endure. Strategy: Arrows are useless. You must target the eyes or drop onto their unprotected backs to find the soft tissue beneath the wool. Yield: Meat: A feast for the entire camp. Wool: The warmest material in existence. Horns: Massive hammers or structural braces. Threat: A charge is death. 9. The Glacier-Walker Description: A leviathan of the ice, standing tall as the trees of the Southern forests. Its tusks are beams of ivory, and its steps shake the earth. Behavior: It ignores us, for we are but insects beneath its notice. It does not hunt; it simply walks, crushing whatever lies in its path. Strategy: The Aerial Siege. Do not fight from the ground, lest you be trodden into the ice. Teams must land upon its back and strike at the spine and neck. Yield: Meat: Rations for a month. Hide: Inches thick, used for permanent shelter walls. Tusks: Structural beams for building great halls. Threat: Catastrophic. A single step is fatal. The shock of its call can rupture Air Sacs.
