XI. SEDATIVES & ANESTHETICS (Surgery & Trauma) 22. Ghost-Poppy Appearance: A pale, almost translucent white flower with a thick, milky stem. Grows in sheltered, shadowed valleys. Application: The stem is sliced to release a milky latex. This is collected, dried, and dissolved in warm water. Properties: General Anesthetic. Induces a deep, dreamless sleep suitable for major surgery (bone setting, amputation). Warning: Dosage must be calculated precisely based on the Veylren's Vitality stat. Too much suppresses the Air Sacs, causing the patient to stop breathing. 23. Numb-Thorn Scrub Appearance: A low-lying bush with sharp thorns that drip a clear, viscous gel. Application: The gel is harvested and rubbed directly onto the skin, gums, or wing membranes. Properties: Local Anesthetic. Completely numbs sensation in a specific area for 30 minutes. Uses: Ideal for stitching lacerations or removing debris from deep tissue without knocking the patient unconscious. 24. Hibernation-Moss Appearance: A dense, dark green moss found in deep caves. Application: Eaten in small quantities. Properties: Metabolic Suppressor. Slows the heart rate and drops the body temperature. Used to place a patient into a "stasis" state to transport them safely or slow the progression of a poison until an antidote can be found. XII. BURNS & EXPOSURE (Thermal & Radiation) 25. Glacial-Gel Fungus Appearance: A bulbous, gel-filled fungus that grows on the underside of ice shelves. Application: Split open and apply the cold gel directly to burns. Properties: Thermal Sink. Instantly draws heat away from fire burns or friction burns (from high-speed flight). Forms a protective cooling layer that prevents blistering. 26. Veil-Leaf Plant Appearance: A broad, waxy leaf with a dull grey surface. Application: The juice is squeezed into the eyes or rubbed onto exposed skin. Properties: UV Blocker. Creates a temporary film that protects Ultraviolet Eyes and sensitive skin from snow blindness or magical radiation burns. Uses: Essential during whiteout conditions or when facing enemies with light-based Echo Traits. 27. Frost-Bite Berries Appearance: Small, white berries that are cold to the touch. Application: Crushed and applied to frostnip (early stage frostbite). Properties: Vasodilator. Gently warms the tissue and restores blood flow to extremities without the "shock" of rapid rewarming. Warning: Do not use on advanced frostbite (blackened tissue), as restoring blood flow causes severe tissue death. XIII. ANTIDOTES & TOXICOLOGY 28. Isotope-Sponge Lichen Appearance: A bright yellow, crusty lichen found on rocks near the northern lights. Application: Brewed into a strong tea. Properties: Chelation Agent. Specifically designed to bind with heavy isotopes and radioactive particles in the bloodstream. Aids the Kidneys in filtering the byproducts of the Quantum Brain or environmental radiation. 29. Neural-Reset Spores Appearance: Greenish spores harvested from puffball mushrooms in the tundra. Application: Inhaled directly. Properties: Neuro-Antidote. Counteracts neurotoxins that cause paralysis or seizures. It forces the Quantum Brain to "reboot" its autonomic functions (breathing, heartbeat). Side Effect: Causes temporary memory loss or confusion (lasts about an hour). 30. Gut-Purge Root Appearance: A gnarled, bitter root. Application: Chewed and swallowed immediately. Properties: Emetic. Induces violent vomiting to expel ingested poisons or spoiled meat. Warning: extremely exhausting. The patient will be dehydrated and weak afterwards. XIV. DERMATOLOGICAL & FUR CARE (Hygiene & Parasites) 31. Flea-Bane Flower Appearance: A pungent purple flower. Application: Rubbed vigorously into the fur. Properties: Pesticide. Kills ice-lice, ticks, and mites that burrow into Veylren fur. Note: Also acts as a mild repellent for small ice-predators who track by scent. 32. Quick-Knit Sap Appearance: A sticky, amber sap from the Frost-Pine. Application: Applied to cuts in the fur or skin. Properties: Sealant. Seals small cuts quickly to prevent infection. It also waterproofs the fur around the wound, preventing ice from forming on the skin.
