Starwell and Grasshead’s backstory: Starwell grew up in an alley in a strange city far away from his abusive foster parents, living on scraps of food and the little amount of money passersby gave him. He was constantly alone, but he was always hopeful that that empty feeling would end. The next day, a frog came up to him with a bronze-colored seed and said, “ Plant this seed, water it with your tears, and on your 12th birthday (Starwell was 11 at the time), the seed will grow into a tree, and you’ll never be alone again.” Starwell nodded, and tried to ask the frog something, but she was gone. But he still planted the seed and watered it with his tears without question. The day before his 12th birthday, Starwell saw the tree. It was beautiful, with a gold-colored trunk, silver leaves and jewel-colored flowers with dew like crystals. Starwell was so busy looking at it that he didn’t notice something moving in the tree. He looked and saw (which was) Grasshead! She was immensely elegant, with emerald-colored grass and blooming flowers like a rainbow and a smile like a watermelon slice. Together they were happy, and Starwell was never alone again, thanks to the frog and the bronze-colored seed.
