After realizing the amount of money being paid to the nation of New Tundra annually on non-essential and non-exclusive imports, the Council has decided to take the following actions: Section 1 - Tundran Imports: The amount of nonessential items being imported from New Tundra is lowered from 12% to 3%. Section 2 - Export Taxation: Tariffs have been implemented on the export of Polestarian resources like oil, grain, plastic, uranium, various metals, and lumber to New Tundra. Section 3 - Polestar-Taxesian Strait Taxation: Subsection A - Tundran ships will now be taxed upon passing through Polestar-Taxesian waters, and checkpoints will be set up at various points along the Polestar-Taxesian Strait to ensure the implementation of said taxation. Subsection B - The newly-installed checkpoints will also serve as a safe haven and stopping point for passing ships during wartime, preventing more ships from being destroyed in Polestar-Taxesian waters. Cargo ships will be given the opportunity to have their cargo removed and safely transported over land to a specified port in Polestarian Taxesia, where another cargo ship may pick up the cargo and transport it to its intended destination. If its intended destination is along or near the Polestar-Taxesian Strait, a Polestarian cargo ship and escort will take it to its intended destination. Passenger and cruise ships will be given the opportunity to recieve a Polestarian escort and be rerouted to dock at the Polestarian mainland, where they may remain until the state of wartime is ended.
