♥︎♥︎♥︎We will always remember Aidan and what he did.♥︎♥︎♥︎ The vigil was silent, wreaths of flowers being placed around a black pole. The train station overflowed with people; not to ride but rather remember, the memory of the man who saved a boy. News reporters chattered as the flame of candles lit the quiet memorial. "Mummy, why are we here?" A girl asked. "To remember," she replied. "To remember who?" questioned the girl. "A hero," the mother replied solemnly. "Where is the hero?" the girl said quietly, looking around. The mother paused for a moment, before answering, "He is in our hearts, our memories, and that is why we are here. To remember." "But I never knew him," the girl said, "How can I remember someone I never knew?" "We all know him, just in hidden ways," the mother said. "Mummy... I can't see him..." the girl said in her softest voice. No reply. The vigil is silent once more.
