lore basis so the broad story will be told through cutscenes ect and the deep lore will be told through notes you can find around the facilty broad story you are a shark peacefully living in a tube until scientists come and try to turn you into a land animal but you break out halfway through and run around the lab the whole time the scientists will be trying to stop you as they send there other projects at you (mutants other augatic animals with legs etc) each time you beat one of these monsters you can take there DNA (for instance a frog could give you a better jump and a lizard could let you stick on walls) you gather these abiltys and you can't get into the final area the upper level to the surface until you get all these abiltys to parkor your way up before the final boss with the scientists when you defeat them you leave the faculty trying to get back to the ocean only to find a desolte wasteland. game mechanics water will be a huge part of the game alowing you to go faster swim dash etc make this the main gemick I would say that the water got there because you escaped from the water department of the facilty and when you broke out you flooded a bunch of areas which would also explain why all the humans are in the upper area. deeper lore. the reason the scientists are making these monsters is there trying to create life strong enough to defeat the aliens that have taken over earth while most people left for other places (like the moon) these scientists fled underground to try and create a being strong enough to defeat them
what do I need to change adjust anyhting Alternative story if on island The scientists were trying to make a shark able to walk on land and breathe in land and sea however something went wrong and you run out of breath under water (new mechanics) and get abanded at the island where they put all there failed experiments and destroy the other failures to become the ultimate life form where the scientists notice this then come and pick you up and try to use you as a weapon but you just want to be a shark so you fight using all of you abilities finally arriving to the head of the lab who turns out to be the human with all the dna and is a ferocious mutant who you then defeat and steal his dna allowing you to return to the ocean cuz you can breathe underwater and are the ultimate life form
