Pain. Fear. Worry. Distrust. Hurt. That’s what you cause us to feel. When you tease us. When you pick on us. When you hate us. If anyone can give me a good reason in the comments, then I will advertise your profile to everyone and follow you and favourite all your projects. I say that because there is no good reason. No reason to hate us. We’re just living. Just being ourselves. Just existing differently. That’s it, right? We won’t collaborate. Won’t fit into this box you’e carved for us. We refuse to be tamed and suppressed. We want to be who, and how, we are. Is there a problem with that? Would you hate someone for doing gymnastics? Then why do you hate us for doing quadrobics? Would you hate someone for saying “Come here!”? Then why do you hate us for doing it our own way? Would you hate someone for wearing a tie? Then why do you hate us for wearing tails? Would you hate someone for using their native tongue? Then why do you hate us for using ours? Is it because we’re ‘not normal’? That’s why you hate us? Look around, next time you go to school. No one person there, nor at all, is the standard for normal. How do you decide? Is it a matter of rarity? Well, then. If you’re playing a video game and get a rare reward, is it a bad thing? Then why is a couple of less common pixels considered good, when a whole community of less common people are considered bad? Just think about your actions, please. - Canary, Comma, author of Ember Spirits
