This district's color is blue People in District 1 eat mainly plants, and are the only source of plants due to the greenhouses. They are also the only place where you can have semi-ok oxygen. The culture here is incredibly welcoming, and it's one of the only districts that still celebrates holidays- every holiday from any religion or time period- Michaelmas, Halloween, Winter nights, etc. There are no trees outside of the greenhouses, yet the air quality is notably better compared to other districts. It should be noted that people living here enjoy to hang out on roofs, as in the murky gutter water you can see the stars- it's the only place where you can do so. Something about how the chemicals work, no one exactly knows why. Sightings of large, goopy-bodied creatures with animal skulls for faces are incredibly common outside the district. Their bodies are always pitch black, their mouths hanging open at an awkward, unnatural angle- yet they are incredibly sweet towards children who do not have proper parents [abuse, orphaned, etc.] and have furthermore become a part of the culture. People refer to them as 'Angels', despite their appearance being what would have been called demonic in the past. Not much about them is known- not even their origin. Notably, this district has a rather large scrapyard- it’s usually free for anyone to take whatever form there, as the overseer for this district is incredibly relaxed.
