I really enjoy learning genetics (especially cat genetics), and I especially enjoy writing genetic code for my cat ocs. Tbh, I ran out of ocs to make genetic code for, so I’ve decided to write genetic code for your Generations characters! The code is based off of the character’s appearance and the appearances of their family members for accurate results. I can do genetic code for your character’s litter, as well!* *[If you ask me to make genetic code for the parent(s) of the litter, I can make any amount of genetic code hypokits! I won’t draw, design, or make names for them, but it gives you the basic idea of what genetically accurate kits would look like.] ——————— 2. What is this project? ~ If you don’t understand what I mean by genetic code, here’s an example of my oc Billie’s code: LL lplp XOXo BB Dd dmdm aa McMc spsp tata bmbm ii wbwb CC ww It’s a sequence of letters that respresent your cat’s genes/DNA, which represent their appearance and heritage. I determine their genes by how they and their family members look. For example, in Billie’s code, the “LL” represents her short fur and the “XOXo” represents that she’s a biologically female tortoiseshell. How it works is that after you read the rules, you post a filled out form in the comments. Then, I will respond to your comment with any questions I might have and the your character’s genetic code! You can use this code as a fun bit of trivia for your character, and/or you could use it to make genetically accurate hypokits. It’s your choice! :) ——————— 3. Rules ~ I. This is free and first-come-first-serve. I put anyone waiting on their code in a waitlist. II. If your cat has no biological family, feel free to leave the litter project part of the form empty. III. You may ask for the codes of multiple characters, both current and previous, just pls dont ask for more than four codes at a time, ty! IIII. This is for the primarily for Generations roleplay, but if you really want a code for your oc lemme know. Just make sure your oc has a somewhat realistic appearance (no neon colors) and know that I will have to ask you some questions. V. I don’t know how to write genetic code for eye colors, sorry broski ;-; VI. If your cat isn’t 100% realistic, I can still write the code for you, but keep in mind that I will have to improvise a bit. VII. Please give me credit if you put the genetic code somewhere (like a bio project or litter project or smth) VIII. This is more of a disclaimer than a rule, but I’m not a professional at cat genetics and I can’t guarantee 100% accuracy. But I probably know more about the subject than like 99.8% percent of people so you can hope for accurate results lol ——————— 4.
