Chapter 3 (Vee) Vee had to re-process what she saw. She looked at the normal Astro and then at the other one “Who are you??” Vee demanded. The Astro looked startled (not to differently from the normal Astro) before dandy interrupted “this is Astro from another Gardenview! He’s here to ‘represent’ his other fellow Toons.”. Vee stared at the Astro,who tried in vain to avoid eye contact. There were many obvious differences between astros, this one had damaged clothing with pins holding his blanket cape makeshift together. The Astro had black boots and surprisingly, four exposed arms ‘does Astro have four arms?’ Vee wondered. Still still full of questions, she inquired “Dandy, how did you find..him??” Dandy looked distracted “oh, well..” dandy began to explain how the elevator did in fact, break down with him in it and how he stumbled upon the ‘golden elevator’. The elevator had taken him to where the other Astro and his gardenview toon’s resided. “After talking with them for a while, I realized we both had something in common; we need a new home. Ours won’t be ready for a while and these guys don’t have an official home. My idea is that-“ but before dandy could finish sprout interjected “they can’t stay here dandy. We don’t have space or the funds too.” Sprout looked remorseful of the thought but dandy continued “we should use the golden elevator to find resources to help both of our gardenviews.!” Sprout seemed ready to throw a cupcake at someone “Dandy we can’t just send our toons to some unknown worlds! What about our own safety? What about Arthur? What will we tell people when we leave?? Why can’t they go themself?!” “Well..”Dandy looked nervous (that’s a fair emotion when a strawberry is screaming at you) “if you help us, we’ll let you use our Elevator.” The other astro said from behind dandy. “Yours??” Everyone collectively whispered. Astro continued “Our Arthur built it for us as a way too visit and learn from other gardenviews. If you help us find somewhere safer to stay than you can us the elevator whenever you please.”.dandy looked thankful “if you want to help, come with us”.for a moment it was silent and dandy started losing hope but Rodger stepped forward and joined dandy. ‘Rodger?? He must be trying to learn about the other worlds or whatever’ Vee thought to herself. Cosmo hesitated but also joined dandy “COSMO???” Sprout shouted for Vee. Making confused jesters sprout eventually gave up and joined Cosmo “someone has to protect you guys..”sprout mumbled ruefully. Next was Shelly and glisten “gosh, that might be scary..” Shelly muttered to herself. “Oh, don’t worry about that. People notice you when you do something different.” Glisten insisted as he walked towards the forming line ‘ugh, how selfish’ Vee convinced herself. Shelly, thinking for a moment, followed glisten. The normal Astro, obviously worried about something,went to dandy and whispered something to him. Dandy nodded and said Something reassuring that made Astro sigh,and eventually get in the line. “Anyone else?” Dandy said,ignoring Vee. “Fine.” Vee said, annoyed that Dandy was trying to leave her behind. Dandy, slightly annoyed that Vee was coming said fair well to the remaining toons, who looked very glad to stay,reflected the same goodbyes and took everyone to the same elevator that broke down on him. Twice. Eventually they reached their stopping point,which they reached by entering some universal code to access the golden elevator room correctly.”safety precautions” lost Astro said. He also insisted on being called lost Astro or just ‘Lostro’ for some reason. When the door finally opened Vee was shocked to see a garden with the golden elevator. Vee, who was nearly overloading with unanswered questions asked “how does this Gardenview traveler even work?” Astro looked slightly amused and answered “only our Arthur knows.” Rodger, listening intently, added a following question “and where exactly is your Arthur?” To that, Astro went silent. “I don’t know.” Lost Astro finally acknowledged. They got in the the golden elevator and lost Astro put in a number on the inside of the elevator. No one spoke until they reached their destination.
