After about 7 months, I finally present to you: My File to Piano Converter!!! (100% pen in one sprite) So far, this was the hardest project I've ever made. It directly converts a .WAV file into an accurate version on piano. Guess the thumbnail song. :) Use turbowarp for larger allowed file sizes, faster loading, and better graphics: https://turbowarp.org/1287293203?hqpen&stuck --- Preparing Your Files --- Most files are .mp3 files or others, so you'll need to convert them into the .wav file format: https://cloudconvert.com/mp3-to-wav https://www.freeconvert.com/wav-converter Recommended .WAV File Size Limits: -Scratch: 1MB-3MB -Turbowarp: 15MB-20MB Tested & Supported .WAV Format Types: PCM (most used) (format code: 0x0001): - 8-bit (unsigned) - 16-bit - 24-bit - 32-bit IEEE float (format code: 0x0003): - 32-bit A-law (format code: 0x0006) μ-law (format code: 0x0007) EXTENSIBLE (format code: 0xFFFE) Your files also have to be converted into hexadecimal: https://emn178.github.io/online-tools/hex_encode_file.html --- How to Import --- Click the green flag, and you'll see a message with two boxes above or below. If your file is small enough, paste your hex code into the box below. Otherwise, import the hex code into the list above instead (you need to see inside if you're using Scratch). Click the check mark on the bottom box, even if you imported the code into the list. Wait until it converts your hex code into binary and extracts the samples. You'll see a screen with two variables describing what they do. Adjust them (or leave them how they are by default) and click anywhere to continue. Wait until the samples of your file are converted into the piano notes. Finally, you'll see an 88 keyed piano on the bottom of the screen! --- How to Use --- -Click the play button on the top left corner to play your audio (restarts if already ended). -Drag the slider next to the timestamp to change the time in the audio. -Click the volume button to toggle between mute and 50% volume (don't ask). -Drag the volume slider to change the volume. -Change the speed slider to change the speed (NOT pitch). -Click the speed reporter to set it back to 1x speed. -Change the transpose slider to change the pitch of the audio (NOT speed). -Click the transpose reporter to set it either back to +0 or randomized from -12 to +12. -Click anywhere else on the screen to switch between decibel mode and...tutorial mode?
