As a person wanders through a land of unforgiveness, they sense another walking beside them. It was a friend, now a stranger, that they had forgotten long ago. The person waves to them, yet the other does not wave back. It seems as though hatred still weighs heavy in their heart. As if they wanted not to speak, but to let the other feel the hurt. The person looked away from the stranger, tears forming in the corners of their eyes. Soon enough, the stranger began to wander away from them. Then, they were gone. There was a light before the person. It got brighter with every step. They reflected on their actions. They had offered kindness, yet got hate in return. A person whose darkness overwhelmed them had flowed throughout, and left a mark that will not be forgotten. Yet as time passes by, the moment would be forgotten, and we will move on. To seal a pact that binds us, chains us together. Yet to break it is to forget and move on. To move on is to remember, yet forget. And the cycle continues endlessly. Promises, Broken. Move on. Forget, Remember. Again. Written by Arctic, the One Who Remains.
