It's been a year since she left. Haru Urara has personally been a big inspiration for me, especially when I just discovered Umamusume last year. Although it might not seem like it from the numbers alone, Urara was actually a very strong horse. Her perseverance has impacted me a lot, I think. From easily giving up to actually trying, I think that is an improvement even if it's small. So with that, I think I'll try to try even more (and also make her game character win Arima- yes I've been trying but my sparks aren't sparking ToT) If you're cheering for Haru, then she's cheering you on from the sky. Believe in the you that believes in the Haru Urara that believes in you. Jus a (not so) quick sketch of Urara cuz it's been busying :,) [Career summary down below] She was born on Feb 27th, 1996. Her trainer, Dai Muneishi, named her Haru Urara, roughly translating glorious spring. Unlike her uma counterpart, the real Haru Urara was actually quite a temperamental horse who was difficult to train. Haru Urara started her career in 1998, and got 5th place... out of 5 racers. Kochi racecourse, the place she ran for basically her whole career, was not in a good financial state beforehand. But as Haru lost more and more, she would gain more and more popularity. Urara became a symbol of perseverance for Japan. People came to Kochi racecourse just to see her run. Her betting tickets were seen as good luck charms against car accidents. She finished her career with 113 losses and 0 wins. Haru Urara got a new owner sometime in 2004. Her new owner used her for profit and took her away from Kochi racecourse after a disagreement. Thankfully, she was found and her ownership changed to Matha Farm, where she stayed for the rest of her time. Urara received lots of love from her many fans, even after retiring from racing. Umamusume: Pretty Derby also boosted her popularity, even outside of Japan. Obviously this is not all to her story, just a SHORT little summary... there's a lot more stuff I'm sure you can find better text with better writing :) Stay PRESTIGEOUS !!
"Smile for me, trainer!" Urara's story is truly a rollercoaster ride even if a horse never wins or wins almost every time, they still have so much going on it's like every uma is a protagonist.
