Chapter Two Bad Beginning “COULD SOPHIE CORNU, KAI MCGUFFIN AND ALYSSA HEFFLY COME TO MY OFFICE, NOW!?” Shrieked a teacher through the speakers. We all knew who that was. Ms Barcley. “First day back after the fourth to eighth floors were built and Ms Nutso Barcley sends us to her office.” Sighed Alyssa. I chuckled. “Come on, we need to go there before she burns down the school with her anger.” Said Kai, who was already getting closer and closer to leaving. I used my telekinesis to pull him back to me and Alyssa. “Uh-uh. You are gonna wait for us, if you like it or not, Kai!” I said. Kai groaned, but he waited. A minute and a half. I was with him in one second, but Alyssa started saying that her hair is messed up and started making a fuss of that. I looked at Kai. He looked at me. I used my telekinesis to drag Alyssa to us, and she immediately stopped talking about her hair and walked to Ms Barcley’s office with us. Me, Kai and Alyssa walked to her office like if we were waddling in water, with people staring, whispering, or moving away like we’re radioactive. My tail flicked once. Twice. Out of fear and stress. Kai and Alyssa entered first, and I stood outside for a few seconds. Justine was inside Ms Barcley’s office, and I could tell that she has been telling Ms Barcley a bunch of lies and Ms Barcley believed every one of them. Continued below ⬇️
“Sit.” Ms Barcley said when we were all in her office. “My dear Justine here said that you were using holograms in your room. A flying book and pencil is not something that can happen just like that! You were using holograms. And that’s why I’m going to thank you for the new banned item.” We stared in shock as Ms Barcley leans over to the giant microphone next to her on her desk. Then, she made an announcement. “Attention, Crossland Boarding School! New banned item! And new surprise rule!” She shrieked through the speakers. “Holograms are banned because they distract and disrespect! The new rule is that anyone who breaks a rule will be fired or expelled, and it it is now the number one rule!” I looked at Kai. Then I looked at Alyssa. They both looked at me, then looked at each other. We just got holograms banned, for no reason. We could practically hear the school screaming, when we were on the first floor! “WHAT DID HOLOGRAMS DO TO YOU?!” Shouted a S6. “WE DON’T EVEN USE HOLOGRAMS!” Shouted a P5. We listened to the chaos, the ceiling trembling and falling apart above our heads. “We don’t even use holograms, and they got banned for no reason!” Kai whispered to me and Alyssa. “Yeah. Justine thinks she’s making Ms Barcley smarter, but in fact she’s making her less smart! And she’s making up a bunch stupid lies too.” Alyssa whispered back to Kai. “In other words, Ms Barcley banned something that no one uses.” I whispered to Kai and Alyssa. They nodded in agreement. It was just a small nod, but I could see it, and Justine and Ms Barcley couldn’t. “Now, you three.” Said Ms Barcley. “I also heard that you used hired actors mixed with now-banned holograms. Justine said she saw Sophie coming out of a holographic white portal, and there were robots, a purple, gothic one and two yellow ones, one with short hair and another with shoulder length hair. Oh, don’t look so worried, I know that you know that I know that you used a hologram and three hired actors.” Added Ms Barcley. She did not know a thing. I just came back from the Murder Drones era, in the 3000s, 3072, to be exact. Uzi Doorman, the gothic clothes, purple haired girl with purple eyes, Serial Designation N, or N, the boy with a chestnut brown and black, long coat and short blonde hair and black headband with glowing yellow part to it, and yellow eyes and Serial Designation V, or V, the one with the identical headband to N, longer blonde hair and black and dark grey, short sleeved jacket, and yellow eyes, all hugged me goodbye after I visited them for a day. And I came back to the correct time, one millisecond after I disappeared to go to the Murder Drones era. “Shoot.” I muttered under my breath. “I could’ve reappeared in the area where the rubbish bins are.” We got let out with a warning, but, boy, oh boy, the school was still in screaming panic mode. I nodded at Kai, who nodded back and nodded at Alyssa, who nodded back to him and nodded to me, and I nodded back to Alyssa. We ran to our dorm, Dorm Room 402, and locked the door. Kai wanted to barricade the door so that Justine and Ms Barcley don’t barge in here, but Alyssa and I disagreed. Then, Alyssa suggested that we barricade the windows so that Justine doesn’t spy on us again, because she did that once and saw me doing my potions while using my telekinesis to do my homework, clean my wardrobe, do my bed, and sort out my drawers, and we caught her and we got detention for a day, because she said that we were doing dangerous things in our dorm, but me and Kai disagreed with that idea. Finally, I suggested that we just relax, and don’t let Justine and Ms Barcley get into our heads and worry us. Kai and Alyssa looked at each other, nodded, then turned to me and nodded in absolute agreement. “Well, what a bad beginning it is.” I said to myself, lying on my bed, using my telekinesis to do my homework. Kai and Alyssa heard that, and silently agreed, but did not say anything, but I knew.
