Ready, set, coin! In the Alterhuman Coining Race, every player will be given a random prompt to use as a base, then coin their own Alterhuman term! Rules: - No AI - No already-coined terms (I will be double checking) - Must be your original ideas! - Must make sense, and nothing overly specific. Like, no coining a term for 'cat Therians who got 'carred' in past lives'. That's a no. - You must explain how the term relates to the prompt, unless it's obvious. (Obvious could be, if the prompt is Otherlink, making a subcategory of Otherlink, such as Funlink. Less obvious would be making a term like Otherpaw.) - No copying the other players' entries! - Must be in a remix! Can be in the description, notes and credits, a sprite, or backdrops. - You don't have to coin an identity. How it works: First, remix this project with your form (form in project) Then, once the sign up deadline is hit, I will give everyone a prompt. Coin an Alterhuman-related term based on the prompt. Once FINISHED, reply to the prompt's comment with 'done'. I will give you your next prompt. There will be five (5) prompts total, per person. An example by me is in the notes and credits, with art in the project itself! Judging: You will get judged by both your time and how good your terms are. Terms will be judged on a 50-point board, then multiplied by however many people are behind you in the race. Points: Ten (10) for creativity - Is it a unique idea? - Do you think it's common to think about? - Is there already a similar term? Ten (10) for engagement - Do people have a good experience with it? - Is the information presented in a way that you would want to read? - Are you repeating yourself too much? Five (5) for presentation - Does the formatting look nice? - Is it messy? - Is it a clever or unique formatting that draws others in? Five (5) for grammar (I'm sorry) - Did you use proper punctuation, capitals, spelling, etc.? - Duz tha prodgekt lewk lyke dys? - Did you use the right variations of words? (Go/went, does/do, I/me, etc.) Ten (10) for how much I like it - Just straight up how much I like it. - I'll like it more if it's creative and interesting. - Make sure to follow the prompt, that'll help here. Two (2) if I or another contestant can relate - Did any contestants (or Commas) say they'd like to use that term themselves? - Did anyone say they know someone like that? - Did everyone think your term is too far-fetched to be real? Four (4) for examples - Did you provide examples of people who would identify with your term? - Do your examples contradict the writing? - Are your examples the rule, or the exception? Two (2) for art - Did you draw a symbol for the term? - Is the art visually appealing, not reductive, and not distracting? - Does the art take all the focus off the writing? Two (2) for any other extras you decide to add! - You know, like music and all that. - Do the extras help or hinder? - Are they creative and unique? Prizes: 3rd place: A headshot of one of your OCs, a follow from me. (If I'm already following you, a heart and star on a project of your choice.) 2nd place: A full or two headshots, and a follow from me. (If I'm already following you, same rules as above) 1st place: A scene or small animation (like a blink or tail wag), I follow you and heart and star two (2) of your projects. If I'm already following I heart and star three (3), you know the drill.
Scroll for example l v l v Cladospirit: a new Alterhuman term. My prompt was 'canid', and that immediately made me think of Cladotherians, who identify as all members of a group of animals, such as felines or canines, or more specific groups like parrots or sharks. Or... all canids. So, what does Cladospirit mean? Cladospirit refers to someone who is a Therian/Otherkin* of one being, an Otherheart of another being in the SAME GROUP, and an Otherlink or Otherpaw of the rest of the group. Therefore, Cladospirits, in varying ways, identify as and with all members of their Spiritpack. Spiritpack? That's the term for the group of beings a Cladospirit identifies with and/or as. Each specific being would still be referred to properly, as their Therio/Kintype, Hearttype, and Link/Pawtype. Your specific Spiritpack can be a 'Spiritpack of ___' or a '___-pack', such as a 'Spiritpack of all canids', or a 'canid-pack'. Examples: Someone is a red fox Therian, and a silver fox Otherheart. They are not a Cladospirit. That Alterhuman then chooses to become an Otherlink of an arctic fox and marbled fox, and an Otherpaw of all other foxes. They are now a Cladospirit, if they use the term, with a Spiritpack of all foxes. They do not have to be, however. Someone is a wolf Cladotherian, and a red fox Otherheart. They then decide to become a 'generic canines' Otherpaw. They can be, if they use the term, a canine-pack Cladospirit. Someone is a feline Cladotherian and a lynx Otherheart. This is still not counted as a Cladospirit. Technically, it would be impossible for them to be one, since being an Otherpaw or Otherlink is required for being a Cladospirit, and from my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong) you can't be an Otherpaw/link of your Theriotype. Also! If you're a Cladospirit, then later become a Choicekin instead of Otherlink, the term Cladospirit would still be applicable to you if you wanted it. The symbol: My chosen Cladospirit symbol consists of a circle, an upside-down heart, two overlapping diamonds, and two weird oval-beans. - Circle: The circle, in conjunction with the triangular heart, represents Therianthropy. And is the base 'paw' for the oval-beans. - Heart: The heart serves two purposes; being part of the Therian symbol, and representing Otherheartedness. - Diamonds: Like the heart, they serve two purposes. There's a diamond in the Otherheart symbol, and the alternate Otherlink one is a chain that kind of looks like two diamonds idk. - Oval-beans: The Otherpaw symbol is a paw. They're paw toe thingies. *Fictionkin, Conceptkin, Objectkin, Plantkin, etc. are all valid too. I just put Therian/Otherkin for easier-ness.
