It has been ten years since Fear entered Scrap Brain Zone Act 3 and got his leg caught on a chain attached to a spike ball in the 2016 copy of Sonic the Hedgehog featuring him, as seen in the final text. This shows Fear, still chained in Scrap Brain Zone Act 3, questioning if someone will save him from his agony. After Fear could not take it anymore from the pressure of the water and his entire body hurting inside and out, the water entered all of his organs, filling them. Then, Fear started screaming in pain. However, he is still alive after that, much to his dismay. After Fear realizes nothing will free him from his fate, he screams for help one last time before he drowns all over again for all of eternity.
