More accurate version cuz I didn’t have space for everything: Preschool I knew from a young age that in my heart, gender didn’t really matter. Love was just love to me. I remember telling my mom I wanted to marry my female best friend there (just a silly crush :3) Young elementary school My beliefs were immediately pushed back by the ‘popular girl’ figure in my class. She often used religion as a means to 0utc4st/b^lly other kids. In around 1st grade she asked me if I was straight. I said yes, then no after being told what it meant. She never outright told me that she disagreed, but I was given stares and sideyes. Later elementary school (skipped this in the project) Love is still love. I don’t feel entirely female though? I don’t believe I was aware of nonbinary at that time or the vast spectrum of gender, but I don’t fully remember. I desperately wanted to be a cat at this time (around 3rd grade) as I became more aware of how b4d my h0m3 l1f3 was/is End of elementary school + start of middle school Had been referring to self as bisexual, was taught pansexual by a friend (4th grade), carried that label with me all the way to present :3 Gender is still confusing, calling myself a furry because that seems to fit with my worsening dysphoria :/ Slightly later middle school Have learned what a therian is, I am one now :D (was originally questioning cat and fox theriotypes) Late middleschool-highschool (now!) Pansexual, bigender (he/she), proudly identifying as a wolf! (Therian) In a now over a year-long relationship with my lovely partner (calling him Moo on here cuz he doesn’t have an active acc to reference)
I’ve come a long way, I’d like to take a sec to thank my lovely mother. She raised me to believe that love is love no matter the gender. She didn’t know of therianthropy, but supports me now and has told me time and time again that there is nothing I could do to make her stop loving me!! >:3 Also a little thank you to Moo, although you won’t see this, for being with me a good share of the journey :33 Little credit to mylo @Dippindot1 for being my first irl therian friend Also credits to R (and baby niche) who is often inactive on scratch for teaching me what pan meant :P
