HELLO... I'm weird. There's really not much more in this episode's script, but um... yeah. Enjoy! :) <><><> Me: I whispered just loud enough for her to hear, “Well, yes… I believe it is…” She stared down at me, forcing a sinister smile. Marinda: “Strange accompaniment you have brought… several are strange…” She spoke slowly, cunning and careful with each word. “While I have come to accept the existence of figure kind, humans rarely come in this form… nor do human-like canines…” She narrowed her eyes on me. “...or the others of such for that matter…” Jager: “Stay closer, alright?” He whispered to Foxlie and Lightbulb, “You too, Reed.” I shifted into my cat form, bounding to his feet. The woman watched me, though hid this decently enough… Even still, I noticed. I tried to keep as calm as I could, though my panic was still as clear as ever. “It’s alright,” he said gently. Marinda: “That one there…” She looked up at Blue. “He’s peculiar, isn’t he?” Blue: “Ree-” He shook his head slightly. “H-he’s… well, um…” He lowered his bow then froze. TSC: “You talk to me,” he snapped, “not Blue.” He glared. “You leave my brothers - and Reed - out of this right now.” Blue set a shaky hand on TSC’s shoulder, giving him a questioning look. The Second Coming nodded slightly. Blue sighed, but stepped back. Marinda: “So that’s his name, now isn’t it?” A trick. I didn’t know how I knew, but I just did (well, buddy, ya better get used to it, ‘cause it’s gonna start happening a lot more frequently). She already had heard of me. My ears flattened, as edged further away. “What if we were to have a little negotia-” Foxlie: “Reed is staying with us, thank you very much…” She muttered. TSC: He clenched his teeth. “No,” he said in what was practically a growl. The woman gave a small cackle under her breath, as she, almost aimlessly seeming at first, began moving closer. Blue grasped for his bow, an arrow in his other hand. Red pulled out a yellow ribbon. Foxlie: She looked up at Jager and then to Lightbulb. “Should we?” She tried her best to conceal the pencil in her hand. Jager: “Maybe. Only if she attacks first.” He set a hand on her shoulder. Lightbulb: “Yeah, that’s what I was thinking.” His eyes were set on Foxlie. Marinda: “Well then, that is rather unfortunate, don’t you think?” She stopped in the center of the group, with her hands behind her back. She was tossing something just out of sight. A liquid held within a bottle of some sort it seemed, based on the sound. In one swift motion, TSC’s jerked out his sword and swung the blade at the woman. The others followed his notion in an instant, including Foxlie and the humans. I leapt out of the way of their feet as I tried to leave the premises of the fight. The woman threw a bottle of colored liquid [especially-potent weakness] at TSC who crippled, kneeling on the ground helplessly. Azalea stayed at my side, eyeing her carefully. She tensed with every glance she cast our way, even still, she stayed put. Red jumped in with a kick from behind the woman, knocking her to the ground, as everyone else still engaged backed away. Red followed up his initial kick with two quick punches up close, though she rolled away, struggling to make it to her feet. She pulled out her own crystalline blade and hit him in the head with the hilt. Yellow grabbed Red’s elbow to pull his unconscious body out of the fray, as Green and Lightbulb jumped in. Red was laid next to SC who stared up at the fight bitterly. (This is probably the best paragraph for a fight scene I’ve ever written…) Green tried to hook his fishing around her neck (he does this a LOT in AvM, apparently), but she jerked the line towards her, making Green stumbled forward and undoing the hook’s hold. Blue shot a swift series of arrows, in initial anticipation of the woman’s incapacitation, but he missed. Foxlie saw this, diving towards her to try to hold her down, but was slowed down significantly after the woman threw a bottle between herself and Foxlie. Though it shattered on contact with Foxlie, it didn’t seem to do any harm other than the effects of the liquid within, in fact the sharps disappeared in less than a second. After approximately fifteen seconds, the effect seemed to disappear, and the faint particles surrounding Foxlie disappeared. She made it to one knee, shaking her head. Jager set a hand on her shoulder in a protective manner. Jager: “Are you alright?” He stared down at her. Foxlie: “I… I’m fine really,” she said, with a surprisingly energetic tone, “just a little disoriented, but just fine.” She managed to stand, fur bristling with a determined air. Azalea pulled me close, tightening her grip on my shoulder. Me: “I assume you do not know much of who she is, do you?” I rubbed my head against her muscular arm.
Azalea: “I know little,” she nodded, “but it is something…” She looked at me for a moment before locking her eyes back on the conflict in front of us. “I only have heard of her as ‘the Witch’… Formidable, dare I say, malevolently so.” Her eyes narrowed on the woman. Me: “I see…” I whispered. Malevolence… I repeated a version of the word she’s said to describe the “Witch” once. I’m sure she’s not… not from her view at the least… I sighed a confused mewl. Azalea: “You do not understand the thought of this, do you?” She glanced at me. Me: “I’m afraid not quite… Even Darkilean-” My voice cut off. Azalea: “Calm, now, child…” she said softly, “I’m not saying she does not have her reasons, but she does not take into account the harm she causes in the process of completing her goals… she harms without remorse…” My reptilian protector subtly shook her head. “That can not be let happen unchecked.” She blinked at me, her eyes serene glaze glistening in the light. I looked up just in time to see Victim be knocked to the ground. Me: “Victim!” I shifted into figure form and shrieked, attempting to scramble towards him, but Azalea held me back until I was just almost entirely flat on the ground. The “Witch” stood extravagantly before me. I cowered, trembling. Azalea: She glanced at me once more before commanding in a low tone, “Stay.” She then lunged at the woman. “He is mine to protect,” she roared in a way understandable to human and figure alike, “I will do so diligently. You will not get to him.” Marinda: She countered Azalea’s slashing tail with her sword diamond blade. “Strange one you are…” She grunted, her grounded force not being enough to overpower Azalea’s. Azalea grappled onto the woman’s hilt and then clawed at her hand. “Protective much?” She knew the answer. Azalea used her foreclaws’ placement to ground her power kick to her face. The witch staggered for a fraction of a second, before grasping yet another bottle from a satchel, just out of Azalea’s line of sight. “Unnecessarily extravagant if you ask me…” She smirked as Azalea leapt back into the air, slinging the bottle at a blinding speed. “Good try, little lizard, but this fight is-” Azalea: She somehow managed to respond to the bottle just in time managing to get her momentum to move much further away. “Over?” She asked, a subtle elegance in her poised position. The bottle shattered against the nearby tree. Reuben bounded to her side, in frantic fashion. He made a sound mimicking a figure’s confused “Huh?” Me: “Gosh…” My voice trembled. The Witch stood between the pair and myself. Foxlie: She tried to get up but struggled. “Reed?” Jager held her back Jager: “No… we can’t afford it…” He whispered in her ear, with a coaxing tone. Azalea’s eyes flashed with something… I couldn’t quite tell what… surprise, but tinted with something I couldn’t figure out. Marinda: “It looks like he’s mine after all.” She swiftly grasped the scruff of my neck, now in cat form, jerking me into the air. Another bottle fell to the ground, its contents splashing into the form of what at first glance seemed like a window into pure void. “Peculiar one…” Her voice dripped with artificial honey, each syllable more sickening than the last as her words flowed slowly. She, in an instant, jumped into the void, as I saw Azalea begin another lunge, but we were already gone. My stomach dropped as we fell. A malicious cackle reverberated eerily through the dark. [Screen fades to black] [TO BE CONTINUED…] <><><> I am pretty proud of how this episode turned out. This one only took a couple of weeks total, so... nice. I hope ya'll enjoyed it. As usual, the original characters and story line belong to Alan Becker. (Also, don't mind me listening to a music playlist made up of almost entirely of the Rocket Summer, and have been listening to it for I think almost two months now... an interesting hyperfixation that I have picked back up from over the summer... but we don't talk about that...) :) I hope you enjoyed this episode. The next will probably take a lot longer, but if you saw this and nothing else in the series, if you wouldn't mind, could you please check out the rest in the meantime. Context is nice, even if it is cringy earlier on, but the later ones are a lot better, so I hope you hold on in spite of this. The rest of the episode scripts, as well as pt. 1 is in the studio. (This cover art that is currently present for the project is unofficial. I hope to get the art for it done soon, though.) Thank you for listening to my rant. Have a nice day and a derpy, just-happy-to-be-here emoticon: | :D
