The SS Nomadic is the world's last remaining White Star Line vessel, built in Belfast alongside the *Titanic* to ferry luxury passengers from the shallow port of Cherbourg. She famously transported millionaires like John Jacob Astor IV to the doomed liner on its maiden voyage. Beyond her tragic connections, she served as a minesweeper in World War I, evacuated troops during World War II, and later spent decades as a floating restaurant on the River Seine in Paris. Saved from the scrapheap in 2006, she underwent a massive £7 million restoration and is now open to the public as a museum ship in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter.
