An evolutionary bottleneck has been forced upon the Gurgesaxum as Tentaculum evolved the capability for predation to consume their kind. A gaping maw opening itself up through the collaboratives to swallow the gelatinous body plans of the Gurgesaxum. Pressure was put on the Gurgesaxum to evolve, and a few clades stood out. The first clade to evolve as a result were the Schleimacuna ("Slime Puddles"), which specced into gigantification. To preserve their capacity to move along the current, the gelatanious shape of the Gurgesaxum have further amorphosized to the point where the body could not solidly define a physical shape. The mouth have turnt into tens of small, nutrient-consuming filterfeeders along it's slimey body. The enlargening and it's slimey surface has made it effectively impossible for the Leath to catch the Schleimacuna, giving them free reign on the open oceans. Unlike their ancestors, Schleimacuna are unfortunately more prone to splitting apart, which has led them to evolve Clonal Fragmentation alongside basic binary fission. The second clade to have evolved were the Gelatadentes ("Jelly Teeth"). The ocean current failing and pushing the Gurgesaxum down to the sea floor to tumble was a common occurence. With Tumbling Gurgesaxum becoming easy prey for the Leath, a lesson has been taken off their cousins, the Upfeeders, and evolved a more floored lifestyle at early stages. Shaped like teeth, Gelatadenes group up in large colonies, their mouths moving upright and suctioning nutrients up. While their body full of water, Gelatadenes are able to pump it out through 'exhales', disorienting leath that get too close. At adult stage, Gelatadenes will revert into a mouthless Gurgesaxum-esque form to move out and mate with other colonies This is the first example of Metamorphosis in Talamhgalie. The third, and last real clade to evolve before the Gurgesaxum became majorly extinct were the Sanguilacina ("Leech Flappers"). Incentivized to outgrow their amorphous bodyplan, mutations in have straightened the whirl body back to genuine bilateral symmetry. Akin to a Leech, Saugilacina have evolved a bodyplan capable of genuine motile locomotion, flapping from side-to-side similar to a fish to roam around the waters to gorge on both algae...and incise into both prey and predator to suck the energy out of them with their mouth, being a leech analogue as they swim freely in the seas. With the lack of outside layers of protection, they've had free eats on the entire ecosystem, capable of leading to extinction if other organisms dont evolve in time.
