Meet Sheba! my Appaloosa mare who we rescued from a neglect situation. She is 24 years old so we don't do any vigorous work but she loves liberty, trailrides, groundwork, and cats! Sheba was at one point a broodmare and possibly competed but her past is very unsure so we don't really know. When I first got her she was so skinny and she had the most uneven muscling ever, we eventually found out she was also mostly blind in her left eye. (Hang in there the story gets better) While Sheba might not seem like everyone's dream horse (or anyone's) she is my first personal horse and her personality makes her so unique and lovable along with the many unique lessons she teaches me about loving and helping a senior horse. It has taken us a long time to learn each other and grow together but from the unsure, confused, and scared horse she was before she has become a happy playful puppy dog of a horse <3
