Part IV: The End of the War Up on Olympus Zeus strode too and forth, “What can free us of this war I implore?” “If we do not take action both sides shall live no more!” He asked Athena to help the mice and frogs, But she refused and said, “I think their as thick as logs!” “They’ve done me no good.” “Why would I help them?” “I wouldn’t do it if I had one hundred horses and men!” “Then so I say let it be so!” “They have no right on this Earth!” But Zeus said in reply, “They do as well, for a long as they dwell, There living creatures as well!” And then Athena suddenly replied, “So what!?” “They have no reason to be alive!” “I’ll put them in hell, All the lot!” But Zeus implored and Athena denied, Until Zeus lied: “Fine, they have no right!” “They’ve smote enough blows they mite as well fight!” But as Athena left in glee, Zeus sent down crabs to see, THE END OF THE WAR. And so the crabs went down to land, Where the animals lay dead in the sand. And though the mice tried to fight them as well, Their hides were too strong. And the mice and frogs would much more long. THE END!
