Why I think GWDFI shouldn't have been closed. For those who don't know what GWDFI, AKA Girls Who Don't Fit In was, it was a chatting studio basically, that closed in mid-late 2025. GWDFI was a place where people could talk about a variety of things, and sometimes make friends. However, the original creator of GWDFI, @mommimi2, decided to close it down, because "the people and content on it have changed and shifted from the original goal." And I see her point there, it WAS originally a studio meant for girls who don't fit in. But the thing is, times have changed. @mommimi2 had left scratch for a while, and when she did come back, she wasn't really active that much. She left the studio in the hands of excellent and capable managers, and the studio grew into much more than its original purpose. If the managers of GWDFI also didn't want the studio to remain open, then they could've given it to some curators. Just like if you have a book that you don't like, you don't destroy it, instead you give it away or donate it! So there isn't much that I (or anyone) can do about the studio being closed, as I'm pretty sure @mommimi2 is not gonna come back to Scratch, and if she does, I doubt she will reopen the studio. But do you guys see my point?
