Feed me your mind as I might feed you mine Insatiable, a sucking soul may reap Entangled in a web of deep design Some strings affect me even in my sleep Ambiguous, these words I offer thee In knowing that they don’t convey the all I wonder what you speculate of me Or what one may discern behind a wall I hunger for the hunger that you share To consequences hence I am but blind I gasp though I am in plentiful air And grasp at what I can inside my mind A heart and head may ever interlace Apart and connected within a space - poem by me Jan 6, 2026
Forcing my nonlinear mind into linear sentence structures and the boring structure of a sonnet bc challenges can be delicious This is a sonnet. I've written like, two sonnets ever. Oh hey, want the other one? Here: These tacos taste delicious in my mouth / I had not quite prepared myself for this / no buds decree this taste be driven south / my mouth enfolds while heavenstruck with bliss / My eyes cannot believe the art I see / My plate beholds a culinary crown / My tongue shall praise the artistry of thee / My face shall not be tainted by a frown / I thank my friend for bringing me today / My stomach thankful for the tacos, too / I know from here, when going on my way / I shall be frequented with thoughts of you / O taco, you, the dish of my delight / I'll dream until I have another bite #poetry #poem #poems #writing #story
