Blind Hunt reboot: Chapter 1/prologue! (Prologue mostly, since our protags aren't born yet!) [Lore] [Warning for: abuse, animal violence] Grainwhisper and Oakbreeze became mates a little after Oakbreeze became the deputy of TrebleClan. They were in love, but they began disagreeing on who Oakbreeze would make deputy once he became the leader. Grainwhisper believed that she'd be a good fit, but Oakbreeze disagreed, and thought another warrior who was his mentor, Rockface, would be a better fit. They began fighting over it, but one day, a war with a neighboring Clan VolcanoClan left Grainwhisper heavily wounded and half-blinded. She shouldn't have been sent to begin with; she had narrowly escaped a coyote attack on a patrol, that left her semi-paralyzed and she was still recovering, however, Oakbreeze sent her into battle anyway. The battle left TrebleClan without a leader, so as Oakbreeze became Oakstar, he appointed Grainwhisper as his deputy to hopefully make it up to her. She was insulted, feeling as if she had been given the role out of pity rather than earning it, so the two broke up, but still remain in their roles. Nowadays, the two rarely speak, only for when they have to give important information to one another.
