Meet Cheri! Cheri, (She/They) is a German Shepherd/Hyena hybrid and Topi’s older cousin. She leads a band known across Driftwood city called The Soda Tabs. (Why? Well, because the bandmates really like soda. Like, a lot.) They’re the electric guitarist in the band, and dang good at it too. Cheri rents a small apartment in Driftwood, where she lets Topi stay during the week. They have a great friendship, Cheri’s often a good mentor for Topi despite her punk-rock attitude. They’re also Topis ride around town, driving her dad’s old Volkswagen van that doubles as a band van. And as for The Soda Tabs’s rivalry? Let’s just say there’s another band in town.. and they’re constantly competing. Maybe that bands not all bad though, cause Calypso is the lead vocalist and eventually befriends Cheri despite the “great Driftwood music war” Also, I tried my best with the guitar, but idk how I feel about the final result..
Her name/personality was loosely based on the song “Cherry Bomb” by The Runaways. And her appearance is slightly inspired by the character Vi from Arcane.
