contributing in spreading the word. new TOS. not a fan. I've always been against most AI, and while there are some ethical uses of it, this is just not it. DO NOT harass the Scratch Team btw. chances are, this was beyond their control or this is something they actively dont see as something the community will dislike. its unfair to immediately call them "evil" without actually knowing their motivations or ideas. Scratch team is not a totalitarian government, theyre a team of real human beings who just want to create a safe space for everyone and being a bully doesn't help anyone. That being said, @Sirbob_ already stated in his project that @cupiemaster has some great resources and info on this that i heavily recommend you check out https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1269751874/ make your voice heard. there should be an opt in/out option for those who don't want to contribute to AI generation. Check out these forums and show your support including one from my good friend @skycedar opt-out (SockAlternative) https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/862377/ retroactiveness (skycedar) https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/862439/
I think ai can make us better, stronger, and more smarter... However, the way this is being used with no context/crediting is just plain bad (given the info). I get that scratch needs money as a website but, that is not a way to do this. Scratch... i'm just a kid WHO KNOWS NOTHING. but spending hours on art/games, to just see all of my effort wasted on an ai response? This TOS needs to be looked at more so.
