Press the Flag Not only am I offended that my art may be subject to training ai bots, but also aside from all of the other obvious flaws pointed out in many other anti-ai projects, ai ruins your experience. I have been on scratch for 5 years. And my favorite part of it has always been that I get to create and learn and grow and see what others have made. But ai ruins your experience because how do you know that the person posting this is actually posting their hard work? And not just an ai prompt that took them 5 seconds? This would ruin the community aspect of things, since people tend to gravitate towards those with similar interests, but it ruins the community if what you're posting isn't your original content. For example, you and a bunch of other people are drawing Mickey mouse for a studio, and somebody just uploads a picture from Google. It ruins the fun and experience! Also, Scratch has always advertised themself as a site for coding where kids can LEARN. Not use ai, LEARN. How are we meant to learn with an ai bot tempting us every time we struggle? How are we meant to learn how to use variables or messages if the ai can just do it for us? What's stopping someone from sending ai bots to spam fake projects? I believe scratch has enough issues already. I have seen people be harassed and report every comment, but still nothing. But back to the point. How can scratch be an educational site when there is constantly the thought of, "Well I can just put it through the built in ai." And furthermore in the community aspect, we're going to have people being harassed with anti-ai comments if they use ai in their projects. And the commenters are not technically in the wrong here. But if a young child is posting an ai project and gets harassed to take it down, even if it is for good reason, your still harming the child. Enough kids get cyber bullied nowadays, and we don't need ai to fuel the fire just because they are too young to understand. Thank you for reading this. I appreciate you. -SomewhatSwiftie
