I'm probably not leaving Scratch, but I AM taking ALL of my art down. I REFUSE to feed the horrible thing (ai) that made it so that I am no longer allowed to go to art college. I may put it back up someday if Scratch changes, but I put so much effort into my art. It is one of the few things that I am proud of myself for. So, you can find my on ArtFight this year as @/my_car_radio but unless Scratch stops using art to train ai models, my art will no longer be shared on this site. speech i posted earlier: i want it loud and clear that i am opposed to generative ai. we as a society could survive without ANY ai. what is it doing besides replacing real work and creating a lazier world who would rather sit there than DO SOMETHING. don't let it silence you. don't let it make you reluctant to act. don't let it take away your beautiful you. I am currently not allowed to go to art school because "ai will take my job". I want you ai users, RIGHT NOW, to go back in time and tell little me, who was struggling deeply with self-worth, motivation and various other issues due to an anxiety disorder, that she can't ever come CLOSE to being a professional artist because some overused and abused algorithm YOU HELPED TRAIN and/or USED make her parents say no. Think of all the other kids in my situation. Think of all the jobless people. Think about your kids. If you're Gen Z (like myself) or Gen Alpha, make the world think about YOU (within reason). Because, simply put: You. Matter. AI is taking jobs, dreams, and creativity. That's not okay. Be the change. Make the difference. You CAN do something. I love all of you, somewhere in my heart. Know that, okay?
