It was under the watchful eye of the loners around him that, for the first time, Soulfaith leaped onto the Sand Pile. It certainly wasn't a glorious highrock or sign of authority, but Soulfaith was happy with it. Starclan had, only last night, given him the honor of a warrior. Soulfaith didn’t plan to waste it. Turning to the cats gathered at the Oasis, he began to speak. "The loners of these shores have often been shunned. The clans gave us this desert to survive in, believing us to fade into the background, for us to be trampled like dust beneath their paws." Soulfaith took a moment to breathe. He had practiced this. "Look around at us. We might not all soar through the air like Falconclan. We might not have dominion over the ocean like Seaclan. We might not traverse the tunnels of this island like Cavernclan." Soulfaith paused for a moment. Here was his chance to really sell his idea. "But what we have is grit and variety. Our differences do not drive us apart, they bridge the gaps in skill between us." Soulfaith's tail lifted into the air as his voice took on a passionate tone. "Where one is a healer, another is a fighter. Where one of us fights, another talks. We are loners, but that doesn't mean we have to be alone. Together, we can make something greater." Soulfaith closed his eyes, finding the final strength he needed. "We might be the dust that the clans trample down. But when the winds of change begin to blow, the dust does not allow opportunity to pass by. The dust rises." Soulfaith's eye opened, and in it, a flash of determination. A spark of ferocity. A glow of pride. "The cats that band together rise stronger. Together, we will rise."
