During the Imperial Era York was ruled by the Taylor dynasty. The Imperial Era came to an abrupt end when The Night Council a radical group of young officers in the imperial army attacked the Imperial Palace destroying much of the Empire's government including Emperor Jonathan Taylor the 2nd. The state rapidly collapsed with regional and military authorities taking power. In the north west the Malt republic formed uniting with and conquering surrounding war lords. In the north the Imperial 3rd Army the most infiltrated by the Night Council separated all ties with he Empire and proclaimed the Yorkist Stratocracy. The Stratocracy is a military dictatorship ruled by Alistair "Ironhand" Vance a Night Conciliar himself committed to the downfall of the monarchy. In the East lies the remnants of the Imperial Government ruled by a regency council for the young Emperor Jonathan Taylor the 3rd. The 2nd Imperial Army is the remnants of a loyalist warlord guarding the Empire's southern flank. At the southern most land mass lies the National Reclamation Army which is comprised of anti Imperial forces inside the 2nd Imperial Army who have seceded from the rest of the 2nd army. The rest of the country lies in anarchy ruled over by a collection of smaller war lords, bandits, and communes. Now the Stratocracy strikes against the enemies to reclaim their homeland from these tyrannical emperors and usurping war lords. Long live the Stratocracy!
