☆ BASED OFF OF TRUE EVENTS ☆ TW: nightmare trigger. there exists a place you can only visit in your sleep, a particular dream when you and two of your friends are in a small yet slightly simple escape room. if you escape, you wake up. if you don't escape, your friends suddenly aren't with you anymore. instead, you must find the exit. or you'll never wake up again. there are different rooms with different entities, and sometimes others that are trapped there. you must achieve taking the form of an animal to escape, or you find a door that has a blinding white light. sometimes, your friends wont leave. they will end up alone. I had this dream last night. I was with two friends, Cassie and Kensi. I zoned out and got distracted, and they completed the escape room without me. I was alone, and wasn't in the same room anymore. I was in an area with a strange piano and grass indoors, with glass walls and a pool outside. I sat on the piano chair, but I fell through. I was now in a dark area, which was filled with knee high water. it was incredibly large, with other people. there were stepping stones and mazes that were made of smoothed down rock, and hands that stood out of the water in some places. it was eerily quiet, which was surprising due to the amounts of people treading through the water. they didn't seem to realize I was there, they looked unhuman. some of them were just silhouettes, either standing there or walking around. I remember taking something from someone's pocket, and running off with it. then, I was in a different room. an area with a few rooms, and a door. a metal door with a safe lock that had a 4 digit code. I looked at my hand, realizing the thing I took was the code. I unlocked the door, and then I woke up. but that's what I thought, I had dreamed of waking up in my sleep. then I fell through the floor again, this time in the same room like before but there were red flashing lights as if an alarm was going off, but no sound. just silent panic. I scrambled around the few rooms, looking for another code. but one of the doors locked behind me, leaving me in my room from when I was 4. I was suddenly a kid again, trapped in an eerie area that reminded me of childhood. I then woke up.
