#1. Fill a 1 gallon Jar with sand and bury a Tab Flourish pellet (see images near the end) this helps the plants have nutrients while they get used to their new environment. #2 Bury the ends of the Elodea in the sand so that they will eventually grow roots in it ;D #3 Put a plastic bag over the sand and plants and fill the jar with non-chlorine water, so that the sand doesn't get cloudy. #4 Add 10 drops of API Quick Start #5 Add half of a dead leaf into the water for the shrimp to eat >:D #6 Add some snails and ghost shrimp! (this is not done in the video but recommended for first timers: try putting the snails and shrimp in a bag of water and leave it to float in the jar's water so it can get used to the temp. OR you can also drip acclimate them) Crush an algae pellet into powder and sprinkle a little bit in the container each day till it is gone, by the time it is, algae should hopefully be starting to grow in the container already so the snail and shrimp don't need to be fed. You will also want to leave the jar open during this time until the plants are well situated. LEMME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!!!
