It has begun at last, the siege of the Voidian capital. As Gemati forces sweep into the Voidian capital from the South fighting is fierce, autocannon fire slamming against shields with no signs of stopping, lasers flashing through the sky left and right, all followed by the occasional spectacle of some ship experiencing engine detonation or having a railgun rip through its hull. Far from the fight enchanting lights flare, but behind this sight lies the doom of several ships, with little delay Voidian cruisers are bombarded by NCI missiles, GASI's best shot at winning in this battle. GASI ships employ a mass assault to simply overwhelm Voidian forces, with no real effective countermeasures to their weapons, and no time to develop them, a mass assault is the best option. Voidian forces spot new ships, unseen before, charging at incredible speed. These ships are not armed, but rather, are small civilian ships from the colonies. Small ships dart around the chaos, searching for the opportune chance to strike. This is where GASI uses Voidian energy weapons against them... You see, as a ship is en route to ram, Voidian particle weapons are useless, they can't halt or break apart a ship like kinetic weapons can, a normal ship would just fire a barrage and destroy it, leaving only a debris field to hit them. Voidian ships can't do that. Cheap, expendable civilian Kamikaze ships plow into the Voidian fleet, expected to deal huge damages, and surviving victims are struck by railguns to finish them off or render them incapable of fighting. With this strike, and endless fire, the Voidians will hopefully be forced to either cede the system to GASI fleets to regroup, or take even heavier casualties on what remains of their fleet garrisons. If the Voidians are pushed out, a small group of ships will begin orbital bombardment, with the rest of the fleet keeping guard from any reinforcements. To try and keep the Voidians occupied, or potentially force land loss on other parts of the front, the entire front has been exploding with border clashes, some similar in nature to this strike, others vast brawls, and even a new strategy. This new strategy involves gaining speed towards enemy positions, and firing a full volley at the enemy as ships before zipping by and entering the Bright Dark to reposition for another hit and run attack. With the frontlines occupied, and a crisis at the capital, it puts the Voidians in zugzwang. Any move GASI knows Voidia can make merely worsens their position, pulling forces back from the CE or Eastern Front, or holding their lines and keeping the capital at mercy to GASI forces. With a siege ensuing, the Voidians better hope their capital is self-sufficient, or they've got plentiful reserves. Any fleeing ships are chased off by stealth ships, which will move on to strike docked Voidian ships behind their lines while shields are likely down. Voidia has been given yet another chance to surrender. If they do not, well, they will be crushed.
