The leaves crunched beneath her feet as Connie walked around the forest. She had vowed to explore more of Lakefig in her free time,, as she didn't have many friends and she didn't want to bother her friends in SPACT. She knew they wouldn't mind but still. She'd suddenly halt as she spies a small dragonet at the base of a tree,, peacefully sleeping. She thought it was cute. Then shook herself. What the bones??? She'd never think that?? She despised all dragons,, as well as feared them. But this one looked strangely tame. Maybe she could shape shift into it. After a few tries,, she got it to look right,, except for the colors. The small dragonet had browns,, oranges and greens,, while Connie had her unnatural colors at full display. She'd sigh and shift back to her usual self,, turn around and take a right. She didn't want to bother the poor critter,, it seemed pretty tired. She'd continue meandering around,, pausing to take in the details of a moth's wings or the occasional bird song. She'd finally arrived at the caves. She'd sigh in relief and open the door to her secret cave. From the outside you wouldn't know there was a door. But if you knew where to look,, it appeared more obvious. She'd enter and plop down on her bed,, staring at the ceiling. Man she missed everyone at SPACT. She wanted to go back desperately but she knew she had to go more low-key now. The hosts knew about the rocks and she didn't want them just invading SPACT or something. Man she really missed Nick and Stagelight-- And PB. AUGGH she missed everyone. Maybe she could go there. Real quick. She'd get up and leave the cave. She sped walk all of Lakefig. She was almost there. She was gonna see Nic- "Connie??? Connie!!!" What. Who was that?? Oh. Heinz. What'd HE want. "What's going on Heinz??" He'd rub his arm hesitantly and kicked at the ground "Have you seen MG?? I- I don't know where she is I'm really worried for her-" His usual monotone voice filled with fear and worry. She couldn't help but feel pity. "No I haven't seen her Heinz. I'm sorry-" He'd whine and walk off. "WAIT WAIT- have you checked SPACT?? I'm heading there now!! You can come if you want..?" She'd look at him with a pitiful expression. His eyes were full of fear and slight tears were forming. She'd grab his arm and gently walk him towards the rocks. Then they both ran around them,, the world spinning as they eventually were in SPACT. She'd look around,, then notice Heinz was holding onto her tightly. She'd turn around and noticed he was gently crying. "Oh no no no Heinz what's wrong???" "I think MG's mad at me I- I told her she had maybe gone too far and she stormed off" He'd cover his face with his hands. Connie would gasp softly and rub his back "Nooo no I'm sure she isn't. Ok maybe she is BUT I'm sure she'll forgive you- cmon she ADORES you Heinz." But if anything Heinz sobbed louder now. "Maybe she doesn't want to be with me anymore- maybe I ruined everything-" "Noo Heinz no no don't say that-" she'd hesitate,, not knowing what to do "do you want a hug??" He'd look up at her and quickly hug her,, collapsing in her arms. "Shhhh it's ok..it'll be ok." She'd frown as she sat down,, rubbing his back all the while. She'd flick her tail gently,, focusing on Heinz. He still sobbed,, but he was slightly calmer now. "Feeling any better??" She'd softly smile and pat his head. He'd sniff and sit up,, wiping tears from his face "Yeah. Thank you" he'd sniff once again. "No problem Heinz. Now let's go find your girlfriend." She'd get up and start walking around,, looking for any slight movement or disturbance. Heinz softly sniffed and looked at the Woody Woods,, then trotted back to Connie. They'd both search around for awhile,, then Connie suddenly froze and motioned for Heinz to be quiet. Slight crying could be heard. Connie would motion for Heinz to follow her,, and they both quietly approached the crying sound. Under a tree,, MG was bawling her eyes out. Heinz instantly flinched and wanted to run towards her,, but Connie stopped him before he could get close. He'd look at her,, not understanding. Connie sighed and lean in to whisper something to Heinz “She can’t know were here yet- look you go that way” she’d point to the left “and I’ll go this way” she’d motion the right. He nodded and slowly started walking towards the left. Connie herself walked off to the right. Heinz would reach MG first. Hed hesitate for a bit before gently placing a hand on MG’s shoulder. MG would let out a little yell,, but when she realized who it was she’d calm (cont bellow)
down a bit. She frantically wiped her face,, not wanting him to see her cry. “Heinz what are you doing here??” “I uh. I came to look for you… are you… ok??” She’d be quiet for a long time “No-“ her voice faltered and she hugged Heinz tightly and began crying again. Heinz would hesitate for a second,, then hug her back. “I’m so sorry Heinz- I didn’t mean to snap on you like that-“ he’d close his eyes,, trying not to cry again “No no no don’t apologize- don’t worry im not mad-“ he’d sit down and hold her gently. Connie looked on. This was awkward. I mean it was wholesome and cute but uh. Awkward. She should prolly leave. She slowly would leave the wood. She’d shake herself and sighed. She’d walk off into the distance. Hoping to find someone.
