(IF YOU WANT TO ADD TO THE PLATFORMER, READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW) Try make 1 level per person, then we can combine it into one big game. -Notes, what to add We don’t have anything, and 4 days are left. I had made a 3D platformer engine for this, so let’s just use that. So anyway, for everyone in the Pen Pros team for WSO, make levels, and try your best to make it non-generic. I have a day-night time thing, and we could use that so some things can only be unlocked during day and night. -How to make meshes and models To add a triangle, go to sprite “Objects”, and find the block “Triangle | p1 ( ) ( ) ( ) p2 ( ) ( ) ( ) p3 ( ) ( ) ( ) RGBA ( ) ( ) ( ) ( )”. You use 3D coordinates to add a triangle. A reasonable-sized cubes would be 100x100x100 units. For RGBA, RGBA means “Red, Green, Blue, Alpha”. You combine the colours red, green and blue to make a new colour. The max limit is 255. For instance, if you did R=255, G=0, B=255, it would result in a purple colour. And Alpha means the transparency, also going up to 255. 255 means solid, and 0 means invisible. If you enter a black value, though, it will just output A=255. There are also line blocks and Sprite blocks, which work similarly to Triangle blocks. A line block is the same, just with 2 points instead of 3. A sprite block has 1 point, and a costume name. To make a costume, go to sprite “Draw” and go into “Costumes”. Draw what you want, and then give the costume a name. Then, if you enter that name inside the “costume name” part of the sprite block, the sprite will appear. If you enter C0 in for the costume name, it will automatically become a collectible coin. However, make sure you do the coins first before all of the triangles and lines, as well as other sprites. -How to make Animations Go to the sprite “Update”. You will see a block called “Animate Objects”. In this block is where the animating and movement happens. Use the “Set Tri ( ) to ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( )” block to transform. The 2nd-4th inputs are the first vertice of the triangle, the 5th-7th inputs is the 2nd vertice of the triangle, and the 8th-10th is the 3rd. If you enter 3D point values in there, a triangle will automatically be set to that value. To find the triangle you want to be set to a different value it already is, you get the triangle’s ID-(coins collected). But, it is only set to one value. To make it actually move constantly, you can use the “timer” block, or the “days since 2000” block, or the “current (second)” block, any one works.
This is just a random model I spent roughly 10 minutes on. It’s not an actual game, it’s just to showcase The model is slightly biased off of Crystal Seeker’s Level 1.
