continuing this mini story writing series !! LOUD AUDIO WARNING (yes I used the same audio) (cry about it) involves depression sorta? tbh idk lol A boy around the age of 16 sat alone on a swing in a playground well after sunset. The playground reeked of a stale metallic scent coming off of the swings and of old sand that was trampled and tottered on for years. The boy stared at the empty sky with nothing but a few dark clouds here and there. He planted his feet down onto the ground and stood up despite the stinging cut on his knee. He sighed, a visible puff of warm breath escaping his mouth, and looked to the left, where he came from. No one stood there besides a stray dog who slowly shuffled away into the darkness. He brushed a hand over his jeans, smearing the coagulating blood a little, and glanced to the street once more. The yellow light of the streetlights flickered dimly, casting a pretty glow over the gray concrete and dull buildings, stretching shadows that crept from corners he hadn’t noticed before. His eyelids drooped halfway, his breathing slowing into a rhythm as still as the night itself. A gust of wild blew past him, his hair swaying out of his face and causing the swing behind him to creek. He felt his cheeks start to throb. It was cold, yet he felt like he was on fire. He became aware of every sound that engulfed him. The distant buzz of cars zooming by and of shops doors closing for the night. A lullaby made just for his ears. He opened his eyes again, feeling both full yet somewhat hollow all at once. He picked up his bag and swung it lazily over his shoulder, noting how it felt as if its weight doubled from before. He started moping back towards his house, so absorbed in thought that he hadn’t noticed the traffic light had turned red. and then he died /jk or not idk
