The death of his mother has left Thistlestorm in a bit of a spiraling frenzy. The ongoing conflict, the brink of war, the wolf attack, his family being split apart. And he blames Icarusflight for it all. His family tells him to not dwell on it, to not let his anger control him, however Thistlestorm can't help it. He enjoys taking his anger out on Icarusflight, a cat he knows no other Clanmate will defend. His siblings disapprove, and especially does his father, who eventually confronts him about it. Thistlestorm snaps at him in return. Thistlestorm has no regrets, attacking Icarusflight in front of Miragekit. In fact, he almost got a thrill out of it. The fur raking his claws, the warmth of blood. He's tired of being what every other cat expects him to be, the good older brother. A cat who is expected to never start conflict, just like his mother, just like his father. Just like his siblings. Something shifted inside him. And his heart yearns for something quite dark, shadowed by guilt and a feeling that everyone else was simply too weak. That, if he has to, he will be strong for his family. Even if he has to numb himself in the process. wowww so emooo my own writing is making me cringe I actually started working on this like a whilee ago... and just now finished it So... !!
